Micah Player

Micah Player is an American author and illustrator of books and games. After studying graphic design at the University of Utah in Salt Lake City and working in southern California, Micah illustrated his first picture book, Chloe, Instead, published by Chronicle Books in 2012.

Since then, Micah has worked with Simon & Schuster, American Girl, Paul Frank Industries, The Land of Nod, Penguin Random House, Harper Kids, Scwhartz & Wade, and a bunch of other rad companies. Micah’s illustrations are rich with vibrant hues, washy textures, and expressive ink lettering.

Micah’s power to connect to people with his pictures began at an early age. In this chat, we learn how being an outsider himself led him to use his art to lift others.
